I owned all three of the previous versions of this bar barbell in bare steel, black Oxide, and Cerakote. I will have to say I was a big fan of those bars especially the cerakote version, but I will say to my surprise the newer reimagined version really surprised me it has much tighter tolerances in the sleeve construction and in the knurling and shaft coating. It’s still an aggressive knurling power bar but not quite as pointy sharp and the original making it still aggressive, but now more grippy with a better feel in the hand. I believe it to be new and improved of an already classic bar. Not to mention the new embossed endcaps are a nice cool looking upgrade as well as the old stickers
