Bare Steel Equipment Return and Cancellation Policy

You may return or exchange an unused item in new condition within 14 days of delivery.

All items must include original packaging.

Items that are used or damaged may be denied a refund or exchange.

How to Return an Item

To initiate a return, send us an email at info@baresteelequipment.com with your order number and reason for return.

Return Exceptions

All clearance and chip/scratch items cannot be returned. Any item that is made to order is considered custom and therefore, cannot be returned. 

Bare Steel Stacked Weight Pins, Power Pins and Selector Pins that are used or have developed rust cannot be returned.

Items returned incomplete or without the original packaging may be denied a refund or exchange.

Bare Steel Products

Bare Steel is susceptible to rust, so if you have any concern of rusting in your training environment, we recommend you upgrade to Cerakote. In the long run, it’s a well worthy investment.

Bare Steel products cannot be returned due to rust. While we take every step to ensure a Bare Steel item arrives in mint condition, the elements may still play a role in light rust formation. Most of the time, this is simple surface/flash rust that can be removed with a light wool padding and oil/silicone spray. We will return items based on manufacturing defects or reasons stated in the return policy.

Cerakote/Hard Chrome Products

Cerakote and hard chrome products may be returned, but only the price of the bare steel item will be refunded. Cerakote and hard chrome items are done on an individual order basis, and because of that, cannot be refunded. 

Magnets

Magnets are a delicate rare earth material. We offer no guarantee that magnets will never crack when placed under load or frequent use. Because of this, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for cracked magnets beyond the 14-day window. 

International Customs/Duties

We do not collect customs, duties, or taxes on international orders. Customers may be required to pay additional import fees/duties to finalize delivery. We do not set the fees and have no control over these costs. 

Requesting a Refund

In most cases, refunds will be automatically applied to a cancelled order. In the event of a lost package, refunds will not be applied until the claim is settled with the carrier or the lost package is recovered.

When requesting a refund, refunds will be issued less the return shipping costs of the item.

INTERNATIONAL REFUNDS: any refund applied to an international order will be refunded in US currency. We do not apply our product prices to currency exchange rates, so the amount you are refunded in your currency may differ, but will be applied in US dollars. Please keep this is mind if you request a refund.

Custom Orders

Custom orders are final and cannot be returned or exchanged. Any custom order must have clear directions set forth in the notes section at checkout. We process orders based on the ordering system and cannot cross reference emails with orders.

We reserve the right the refuse custom orders that are deemed inappropriate, vulgar, or against company beliefs/policies. In that case, a full refund will be provided to any order that may fall into that category.

Exchanges

A product that is new and in the original packaging may be exchanged for an item of same value.

For Cerakote and hard chrome exchanges, customer will be responsible for paying for a new Cerakote or hard chrome application for each item they wish to exchange. 

Orders that are beyond the 14 day return window will be ineligible for exchanges. 

Customers will be responsible for return shipping only for most items. Oversize items and items shipping freight will be subject to a return shipping cost.

Customers in Alaska and Hawaii, including international customers will be responsible for shipping both ways.

Boneyard Products

All sales from the Boneyard are FINAL and are non refundable/returnable. 

Return Process Exceptions

Please allow up to 3-5 business days for your return or exchange to be processed.

In most cases your refund will automatically go back to the original form of payment used for the purchase.

Original shipping charges incurred on your purchase aren’t refundable as part of your return or exchange. This includes return shipping of the product unless paid by customer.

Bare Steel Equipment CANCELLATION POLICY

You may cancel an order at any time prior to the order entering the “Processing” stage.

Made to Order Items CANNOT BE CANCELLED once they enter the manufacturing stage.

The entire order must be cancelled, you can not cancel specific items.

If you still want certain items in the cancelled order, you’ll have to purchase the items again in a new order.
